Dr. Yakup Üstün graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Dentistry with his D.D.S. degree in 1996. Following his military service between 1996 and 1998, he attended the postgraduate educational oral and maxillofacial surgery program offered by the Institute of Health Sciences at Çukurova University and graduated with Ph.D. degree in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He worked as a visiting assistant in the oral and maxillofacial surgery departments of Hebrew University (1999) and Semmelweis University (2003). Then he worked as Assistant Professor between 2003 and 2007 and as Associate Professor between 2007 and 2010 in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Faculty of Dentistry at Çukurova University in Adana, Turkey. Dr. Ustun left his full-time faculty work in February 2010. He gave lectures at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in dental anesthesia, oral surgery, oral implantology. He maintains his full time clinical practice in his private clinic focused on surgical procedures of oral implantology. Dr. Ustun is a ‘fellow’ of The International Team For Implantology (ITI). Dr. Ustun is also a member of the SEE Implant Dentistry Education Group.
